Social Justice

Hi. If you're on this page, it's for a very specific reason.

If the words "Social Justice" make you angry, this site isn't for you, and I don't want your money. If you're curious about my social justice initiatives, feelings, leanings, and vocalizations (yes, I have a lot), keep reading.

I'm a proud American who is very angry at my government, especially the Trump Administration. I did not vote for that man, and I Vote Blue No Matter Who, because progressive and democratic candidates are, on the whole, more willing to actually listen to the people they represent and change things for the underserved and marginalized: which is to say, anyone who isn't a heterosexual white male.

I'm also a white, Enby DemiPan American who believes Black lives, Trans lives, Queer lives, and Palestinian lives all matter, no asterisks. I believe in science (climate change is real, vaccines work, the earth is round...yes, really), healthcare as a human right (including abortion and gender-affirming care), and doing the uncomfortable work of dismantling the privilege I was born into.

If any of that bothers you, we're probably not a great fit, and that's okay. One of the best things about this country is that my family and yours served and fought so that I can have an opinion on my country, and cater to whomever I please.

Read on for the long version.

I hope this page gives you a clearer picture of who I am and what I'm trying to protect. I'm still learning, so consider this a living document, not a manifesto carved in stone.

Why am I telling you all this?

Because I believe in putting my money where my mouth is, and I think you deserve the same option. Who I choose to spend money with, and what causes I choose to amplify, says something about me. I'd rather be upfront about that than let you find out later and feel misled. So here's the full picture: make an informed call about whether you want to spend your time or money here.

I want to live in a world where people are treated equally regardless of what they look like or who they love. Safe and happy, not just for some, for everyone. That's what you're supporting when you support me and my businesses.

I care a lot about racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, being a decent global citizen, and not torching the planet we all live on.

As an American, I don't think the country has come close to delivering on its promises of freedom and justice for BIPOC people. Voter suppression, mass incarceration, income and housing inequality, bias baked into healthcare and the justice system, the list goes on, and the mistreatment continues with basically zero accountability.

I'm white, which means I carry privileges that my BIPOC friends and family don't get. I've upheld racist ideas before, sometimes knowingly, sometimes without noticing, and I've been part of systems built to marginalize, undervalue, and harm BIPOC people.

That's not a comfortable thing to admit, but pretending otherwise doesn't help anyone. I plan to spend the rest of my life unlearning that and putting anti-racist values into actual practice, not just talking points.

People who look like me hold a disproportionate share of power in a system built on white supremacy, which means we also hold a disproportionate share of the responsibility to help tear it down and build something equitable instead.

I want diversity to be the norm, not a phrase we trot out to avoid dealing with the real problem. I want everyone to have the same access: healthcare, education, safety, money, fair jobs and housing, food, dignity, and basic humanity. Not some people. Everyone.

I'm part of the Rainbow Family myself. I identify as Enby DemiPan, and I fully support trans, enby, queer, and every other gender and sexual identity out there. Everyone deserves the same rights: to marry (or not), to have kids (or not), to get gender-affirming care, and to live safely in their own community.

A few things I consider non-negotiable:

  • Abortion, contraception, tubal ligation, and vasectomies are healthcare. Full stop.
  • Trans women are women. Trans men are men.
  • Climate change is real.
  • The earth is not flat. (Yes, I have to say this out loud in 2026.)
  • COVID was never a conspiracy. And even if it somehow had been, getting vaccinated and wearing a mask was still the right call.
  • Palestinians deserve to live in their own country without fear of the genocide currently being waged against them by Israel. Every country backing that effort is complicit in violating the Geneva Convention.

Thanks for stopping by. See you in the shop!
